Yes, it’s that time again! More Cooking for the Kitchen-Inept!

Let me tell you now, I love chorizo and I love feta. I really do. Those are probably my two favourite things to eat, and here we are with an opportunity to eat them TOGETHER, wedded in a heavenly bowl of deliciousness! Surely, that is too good to pass up… Non?

So, the recipe can be found here and it’s so straightforward and idiot-proof that it is well deserving of a place in the Cooking for Idiots series.

I’m still not clear on whether I’m allowed to copy out recipes or if that would be copyright infringement – it doesn’t seem fair to reproduce Alida’s delicious recipe here, so trot on over to her blog for the instructions. Below you will find my little interpretation:

Fry things. Add pasta. Save resulting combination from the Pastasaurus. And then… Consume.

The one thing I would do differently next time is to chop the chorizo into smaller cubes, rather than just sliced. But in all, this is the yummiest thing. Ever.

This is one of those dishes that I can tell will become a staple (and not just because all the ingredients are available from the Tesco Express 15 feet outside my flat…)

It’s hearty and warming in that marvellous way that makes your belly and your mind happy simultaneously. I was in a really bad mood when I started cooking this, but there’s something about the process of putting it together, and then obviously, the eating of it, that has made me feel calm.

Perhaps chorizo and feta together have magical powers…

…hmmm…

If you’re thinking, ‘That’s the coolest bowl I’ve ever seen’, you’d be right. It’s one of my most precious possessions. It was made for me by the self-same beautiful friend mentioned in my post about The Gilbert Scott Bar. One of these days I should remember to let her know she’s being talked about…

Anyway, I really, really recommend this one. It’s super easy, and clearly provides more than simple nourishment…
